Vacancy available for Account Manager in Cape Town (Urgent)

 
You will be responsible to manage existing clients within our business as well as the development of new business. A strong understanding of the English language will be required as most communication is verbal and in writing. Bilingual in Afrikaans or a second or third language is advantageous.

We are looking for someone who can work independently and be strong at time management. Must be able to manage stressful situations and able to think outside of the box in the middle of a crisis. Must be of a sunny disposition but strong enough to take control in meetings where required. Knowledge of Syspro is advantageous but can be trained if needed, however you will need to have a basic knowledge/understanding of an ERP System.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 Years sales and account managerial experience within the logistics/supply chain management industry.
• Influential, persuasive, and assertive (when necessary).
• Self-motivated, results orientated.
• Genuine interest in understanding and meeting customers needs.
• Proactive, show initiative, and be independent.
• Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills. Be meticulous at all times. Computer literate and numerate Sound knowledge of products and services.
• It is vital that you are able to work well under pressure.
• Efficient in excel.

Duties:

• Maintaining and improving relationship with current clients and building relationships with new clients.
• Monitoring of all orders from clients to ensure that orders are being timeously and correctly placed.
• Ensuring that the online portal is functioning and if there is a problem that it is corrected.
• Running of month-end reports, ensuring that all expenses are billed to the client at the end of each month.
• Develop business within the manufacturing, logistics, distribution and warehousing departments ensuring that orders are placed on time and that stock quantity is maintained and reported.
• Sales calls for new business and following up on possible business within the pipeline.
• Quoting on all specific requirements whether it be for manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or distribution.

 
Salary is dependent on work experience.
